Work of Art and Lift me Up Card

I wanted share with you one of my older cards with you today. I made this as one of my Display Stamper projects in November last year. I used the Work of Art stamp set in So Saffron, Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay inks. I added the Balloon and Sentiment from the Lift me Up stamp set and cut the stamped balloon out using the Up & Away Thinlits in the Big Shot and attached it with Stampin' Dimentionals.

Serene Scenery with Scenic Sayings and Detailed Dragonflies Card #GDP080

I have had a head cold this week so I am keeping it simple with my cards, it's all my foggy brain can handle. I took on this weeks Global Design Project 080 Case the Designer - the designer is the amazing Louise Sharp. I was inspired my neglected stamp set Scenic Saying and the congrats stamp sun rays that I took the Serene Scenery Paper Stack design with the matching rays to use s my background. I stamped the congrats in Delightful Dijon ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out using Stitched Shapes Frameilts as well a vellum circle in the larger size. I also took the bee from Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and cut it in the Big Shot using the Precision Plate out of vellum and coloured it with Delightful Dijon Ink. I added a off cut of the Serene Scenery paper and added the reverse pattern to ground the sentiment.

Close up of the sentiment cluster.

I used the off cut from the Paper Stack to decorate the inside of the card using a sentiment from Banners for You on Vellum punched out with the Banner Punch.

In this World with Happy Happenings Card with #ctd435 and #FMS280

There are cards that just come together easily and those that don't. This card one that did not. I was comedy of miss stamping, not stamping straight and lots of wasted card stock while giggling with friends and being giggled at on video chat, also having a cold did not help me thunking straight. But I am finally happy with how this card turned out. I combined this weeks Color Throwdown #435 and Freshly Made Sketches #280. I having been trying  to use more than the Butterfly stamp from In This World stamp set. I used the door stamped in Crushed Curry ink and chair in Peekaboo Peach ink. I coloured both the images with a blender own using the ink. I added some Tempting Turquoise which I scribbled out to get a lighter shade for the windows in the door.

I hand cut out the the chair which caused the most giggle from my friends and adhered it using Stampin' Dimensionals. I apparently pull funny faces while doing this. I took the word 'enjoy' from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and die cut it 3 times from Tempting Turquoise card stock in the Big Shot with the Precision Plate and glued them together to make a dimensional sentiment. To finish the card I took my favourite sentiment from the Happy Happenings stamp set, stamped in Island Indigo.

Birthday Bright with Playful Palette Card

I really can say I am not a FAN of he Playful Palette Paper Stack. I bought it thinking it would grow on me and some of the pieces have but more multicoloured swirly ones haven't so challenged myself to use them and I do like the end result. I kept it simple by stamping the sentiment from Birthday Bright stamp set in Archival Black Ink on Vellum. I added some Emanel Shapes in the co ordinating colours - Emerald Envy, Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum. I adhered the vellum by folding up some Glue dots by adhering them behind the enamel shapes. To finish the card  I added some of the co ordinating Ruched Ribbon to finish the card.

Happy Day - Lift Me Up Bundle with Cupcakes and Carousels Card #GDP079

If you haven't noticed I am totally in LOVE with the Cupcake and Carousels Paper Stack. This card goes perfectly meets this week's Global Design Project 079 Theme Challenge: Amusement Park. I started with the Bermuda Bay Rays paper and took the Up and Away Thinlits clouds and die cut them in Big Shot along with a Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach Hot Air Balloons from the Lift me Up stamp set. I stamped the cupcake Ferris Wheel also from the same set in Early Espresso ink on another of the patterns of paper and hand cut it out. I added the swirly pattern from the same paper stack behind the die cut clouds. I added the Happy Day sentiment from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set. The hot air balloons  were added on Stampin' Dimensionals and as a finishing touch I used some matching Enamel Shapes.

Double Take with Animal Party Paper Card

I adore the main animal pattern in the Animal Party Paper but the rest of them I am a bit hoo hum about so I decided to cut the other patterns into strips and make a new pattern on a scrap of paper and I LOVE the result. The sentiment is from the Double Take stamp set which is designed for 2 Step Stamping, I used Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango as the inks. The card stock layers I have used are Emerald Envy and Crumb Cake. I added the Emerald Envy Ribbon wrapped around the paper to tie it all together.

Sprinkles of Life and Tree Builder Punch Card

Sad to say this card is inspired by our current weather which has been rain for over a week and still at least another week so I made this card using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and  matching Tree Builder Punch. I stamped and punched some clouds on Soft Sky, Basic Gray and Smokey Slate inks, I also punched an additional cloud out of the Silver Foil paper.   I'm trying hard to see the silver lining to our weather. Next I embossed the silver lining sentiment in Silver Embossing Powder melting it with the Heat Tool on our Shimmery White paper. I arrange and glues the clouds on the card and added the rain drops. I layered it on Soft Sky and onto a a Thick Whisper White card base.

A close look at the beautiful shimmer in our Shimmery White Paper and Silver details on the embossing and punched cloud.

Carried Away Sale-A-Bration Paper, Lift Me Up #FMS279

I needed inspiration today to get my mind into gear to make a set of cards, I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #279. I wanted to use my Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Paper before it goes away on the 31st March, 2017. I love the colour combo in the paper and matched my stamping of the Lift Me Up stamps to, using Mint Marcon, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Night of Navy Inks. I also used the Banner Triple Punch to flag the ends of the base strips. I tried to keep it clean and simple whist using all the layers of paper.

Simple Carousel Birthday with Markers

This is a simple stamped card that I made for my display stamper assignment late last year. I adore the sentiments in the Carousel Birthday stamp set so I made them the focal point of the card, stamped in Early Espresso, I added the big top stamp which I coloured using the Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral and touch of Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers under the flags. I added few Enamel Shapes in matching colours to finish the card.

In This World, Playful Backgrounds, Cupcakes & Carousels DSP with #GDP078

I apparently have a thing for using butterflies at the moment, this butterfly is from the In This World stamp set. I have used this week's Global Design Project #078 Sketch Challenge and the colours from the Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack. I started by stamping the butterfly in Archival Basic Black Ink, next I took the Watercolor Pencils and coloured in the butterfly with the colours below to match the paper stack blending them with the Aqua Painters. I cut out the image using the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Big Shot, I also cut out a larger circle from Bermuda Bay in the Glimmer Paper Assortment in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I stamped the Playful Background stamp on Calypso Coral card stock in Versamark Ink to give a subtle effect. I added patterned paper from Cupcakes & Carousels Paper Stack and the ombre Calypso Coral ribbon from the Cupcakes & Carousel Embellishment Kit. To finish the card I added Wink of Stella to the butterfly for a subtle shine.

Here For You - What Will You Stamp? 107 Card - #WWYS107

I am taking up a Guest Designer spot this week at What Will You Stamp? #107 as I won the challenge two weeks ago. This week's stamp set is Here for You in The 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue. I have used the stamp set on my card as a background stamp in Marina Mist ink on Marina Mist card stock, I have a used this technique before HERE.  I also added some accents to the background using both the Mixed Borders and Watercolor Wings Stamp Sets. I punched a 2" circle in the card stock to create a window for my focal point, I added a piece of Blushing Bride card stock to the Thick Whisper White card base where I had punched the circle to create a base for the butterfly. I stamped the Watercolor Wings butterfly in So Saffron and Blushing Bride Ink using the matching Bold Butterfly Framelits in the Big Shot to cut it out. I added the Marina Mist ink Embossed sentiment on Vellum to finish the card. I was inspired by some cards Jennifer McGuire made recently when making this card and looking a the sentiment stamp set.

I would love to see you participate in this weeks Challenge

Lift Your Spirits - Lift Me Up with Ink Smooshing Technique Card

At a recent class we played with the Ink Smooshing Technique with 3 different paper mediums - this card is using Thick Whisper White which works quite well if you use a smaller amount of water compared with watercolour and shimmer paper. For this technique I used So Saffron and Peekaboo Peach as shown in the video below. I added the hot air balloons from the Lift Me Up stamp set over the technique using the colours shown below to the top 2/3 of the card front. I added the Sentiment also from the Lift me Up stamp set. I added some vellum die cut clouds from the matching Up & Away Thinlits and added them to card and a tied knot of matching Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon as finishing touches.

The colours I have used for this card

Delicate Details, Petite Petals with Sponge Brayer - #CI05 #WWYS106

Well I jumped the gun and made a Wedding Card for an April Blog Highlight and silly me used Sale-A-Bration sets that will not be current in April. So here it is, I started with a piece  of Whisper White card stock treated it with the Embossing Buddy and stamped two of the Lace stamps from Delicate Details lining them up on my clear block using my Quick Tip Video, stamped in Versamark Ink and coated in White Embossing Powder and melted with the Heat Tool. I Sponge Brayered over the embossing with this fortnights Colour Inspiration 05 colours - Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride. Making sure they are overlapped to get a good blend. I have a Quick Tip Video below on how easy the ink blending is.

I stamped the flowers from Petite Petals is Sahara Sand Ink and sponged the middles in Blushing Bride ink, I punched them out using the matching Petite Petals Punch. The sentiments from Thoughtful Banners was stamped on Soft Sky and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I added the three flowers which had curled up to give them dimension and coated the in Wink of Stella and added 3 small Basic Pearls to the centre of each.

Here is my Video on how easy it is to Ink Blend with the Sponge Brayers

I took the Any Occasion stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration and stamped and embossed in White on Vellum and added 2 more Petite Petals flowers to finish the card.

This card also also meet the criteria for this weeks What Will You Stamp #106 Challenge

Copper Carousel Birthday Card

I was inspired by my friend Denise Garrison who did some Copper Heat Embossing on Copper Foil Sheets. I love the simplicity of this project the Carousel Horse from the Carousel Birthday stamp set heat embossed in Cooper Embossing Powder on Cooper Foil Paper. I added an extra layer of the Foil Paper to add impact to the embossed piece. I added the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics Stamp set and scroll from the Carousel Birthday set also embossed using Veramark Ink and Copper Embossing Powder. To finish the Elegant Eggplant panel off I added Versamark around the edges and added more Cooper Embossing Powder.
